1. When are the general membership meetings held?
The third Thursday of every month. Watch for meeting location and
details on the web site!
2. When are the executive committee meetings held?
The second Tuesday of every month.
3. In the event of bad weather, how do we find out if a meeting
has been cancelled or not?
In the event of serious weather conditions on a scheduled meeting
night, notification of cancellation (or not) will be provided by
noon of the meeting day. You may check this Web site or call the
committee member coordinating the meeting.
4. I am unemployed ASQ0911 member. How can my local section help?
Our general membership meetings are a great way to network with
other professionals. Unemployed ASQ members who are actively
seeking employment in their field get the meeting meal at the
student price.

8. Explain the typical $17 cost associated with the meeting meal
and why it is important to cancel reservations 48 hours prior to
the meeting.
Some important information about the meeting meal/dinner:
Your Section leadership is keeping the cost of dinner at our
meetings to a minimum, in order to encourage attendance. The cost
of the meal to the Section is $22 - $23 per person, while we are
charging only $17 per attendee. In order to continue this
approach, and since we pay for a guaranteed number of dinners (as
required by the hotel), those who make reservations will be
responsible for paying the $17 whether or not they attend. If you
find it necessary to cancel a reservation you have made, please do
so at least 48 hours before the meeting, in order to avoid being
billed. You are welcome to send a substitute in your place without
an additional charge. You are also welcome to attend meetings
without having dinner. Thank you for your assistance in helping to
make our section more effective in serving our members.
